Evaluation Remake
•How did you develop your ideas, and did they change throughout the project?
I stated my remake project by looking at game that hasn't been remastered and choose one based on if I can even make it at my current skill levels. Although my project had to be altered dur to time and software issues which caused the game to be altered a bit. Although this project was a lot of fun as I was able to use some of my first-hand images for inspersion on level design.
•How much research did you do, could you have done more or less?
I have done a lot of research as this remake Is based on a game love quite dearly, so I had a lot of motivation to get it done. In term of it being enough yes, it is enough.
•What inspired you and why?
I looked at the prince of Persia series as a whole and chose bit and pieces from each game that I felt was in my range of skill and time. In addition to that looked at a lot of Arabian architecture to get an idea of what the environment should look like.
•What techniques and skills did you develop during the project?
I am now able to quicky and easy rig and import a player character. I have also realised I have a habit of over shooting for what I do and over working. I have decided to plan out and have a point where I can say finished. An if there more time I can expand of the project.
•Is there any areas you could have studied more?
Not really as most areas I need to improve are more internally than extern. As I need to stop over think and get a second option on what I am doing so I stop wasting time.
•How successful do you feel the 2D or 3D game was?
Really good. Although my project feels like an alpha for a remaster product. Which I think is a good thing.
•Is there anything you would change, or do differently? If so, why?
I would have loved to make the game combat focus instead of platform focus. Even though the reason I picked platforming is because that the strongest aspect of the prince of Persia series.. While the combat has always been in last place for the games.
